Piedmont Hosting is a cloud infrastructure platform providing VPS servers, game server hosting, and web hosting. All services run on enterprise bare-metal hardware in our Durham, NC datacenter.

Infrastructure
All services are powered by Dell PowerEdge R730 enterprise servers with SSD storage, ECC RAM, and redundant networking. Our infrastructure includes:
- Dedicated IPv4 and IPv6 addresses for VPS instances
- SSD-backed storage for maximum performance
- 1Gbps uplink with QoS-managed bandwidth per VPS
- Automated daily backups (VPS, optional)
- Free VPC private networking between VPS servers
- Real-time monitoring via Prometheus and Grafana
Account Setup
Setting up your Piedmont Hosting account takes just a few minutes.
- 1Navigate to piedmonthosting.com/signup and fill in your name, email, and a strong password.
- 2Check your inbox for a verification email. Click the verification link to activate your account. The link expires in 24 hours.
- 3Sign in at vps.piedmonthosting.com/login to access your dashboard.
- 4Optionally, enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) from your Profile page for additional security.
Enabling Two-Factor Authentication
We strongly recommend enabling 2FA to protect your account. Navigate to Profile > Security in your dashboard to set it up with any TOTP authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, etc.).
Dashboard Guide
Your dashboard at vps.piedmonthosting.com/dashboard is your control center for all Piedmont Hosting services.
Dashboard Overview
The main dashboard shows all your active services with quick-access status indicators. Each service card displays its type, current status, and key details like IP address or connection info.
Service Management
Click any service to access its full management page. Depending on your service type, you'll find these tabs:

Billing & Subscriptions
All billing is handled through Stripe. We accept all major credit and debit cards.
Billing Cycles
Most services offer both monthly and annual billing. Annual billing saves approximately 8-10% compared to monthly pricing. Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period.
VPS Billing
VPS servers use component-based pricing. Each resource (CPU, RAM, Storage) is billed as a separate line item on your subscription, making it easy to see exactly what you're paying for.

Managing Your Subscription
From any service's Overview tab, you can:
- Change Plan — Upgrade or downgrade your resources. Upgrades are prorated immediately; downgrades apply credit to your next invoice.
- Cancel Service — Cancels at the end of your current billing period. Your service remains active until then.
- Delete Service — Immediately terminates and deletes your service and all associated data. This cannot be undone.
Promo Codes
Promo codes can be applied during checkout on the Stripe payment page. Look for the "Add promotion code" field before completing your purchase.
